This book had me frustrated, sad, frustrated some more, and sad than happy. It
pulls you in from the beginning and does not let you go till the end.
After Maya tells Cameron that she can’t marry him, she goes a
little wild. Maya drinks and parties a lot. She just puts her life on auto
pilot and phones it in, not living just existing.
Cameron focused on his military career and tried to forget the
love of his life, Maya. After the military, he comes home and throw’s himself
into his work, still trying to forget her.
A chance encounter brings these two back together. Will Maya and
Cameron get a second chance at love, is it finally time to deal with past, are
they going to be able to deal with the present.
Meredith Wild has crafted a wonderful, fast-paced read. It is
filled with heartbreak, sadness, and twist and turn the reader doesn’t see
coming. It held me captivated from the very first paragraph. The way Meredith
has written On My Knees helps the reader to really feel and experience what the
character are going through. The secondary characters are just as good as the
main ones and really helps to add that something to the story. I can’t wait to
see what Meredith will write next.
