Alexandria is a tough girl who thinks she knows it all. She gets in trouble with her parents when her mom catches her selling drugs for her boyfriend, Joel. They decide that the best thing for her is to spend the summer on her grandparent’s farm working. She absolutely hates this. Not only does she not get along with her grandfather, but she will be several hours away from Joel. She decides to visit Joel after not hearing from him. She goes back home and catches him cheating on her. He knows he made a mistake and wants to work things out. He promises to make an amends for his actions. That he will do better in the future and everything will work out.
However, Alexandria is heartbroken and devastated. She realizes that she gave up part of herself to be with him and he did not even care. While getting over Joel she starts to form an attraction to her grandfather’s farm hand, Landon. Things start to heat up and spark between the two and the chemistry between them is blazing hot. Just when she thinks things are starting to get better, a tragic event happens to knock her on her ass again. Alexandria has to make some hard choices and decide what she wants out of life and for her future.
K.A. Robinson has crafted another amazing story. The way she writes about her characters makes one feel all the emotions along with them. As a reader, you experience the heartbreak, the loss, the love, lust, friendship, family, and all the other emotions in between as each character lives them. This story was an amazing read that took me along for the journey. It captivated me and had me guessing with all the twist till the end. I cannot wait to see what K.A. Robinson creates next for us to read.
