Kasey and Joseph grew up next door to each other. While their
families may not have gotten along, it didn’t stop the friendship from growing
between the two. Kasey fell in love with Joseph and wanted to have one special
night with him before he left for boot camp. That night forever changed their
lives without either of them realizing it. Kasey and Joseph lose touch of each
other due to circumstances surrounding them. That fickle creature fate
intervenes and brings Joseph back into Kasey’s life. Only it’s not exactly the
reunion that both were hoping for. Joseph had finally moved on and is engaged
to someone else. While Kasey had been keeping a secret all these years. What
happens next is a journey of rediscovered love and heartbreak. The two of them
have to decide if they are willing to make sacrifices and open up to see if the
future might just hold the happiness both have been looking for.
Gabbie S. Duran has written a wonderful story. It is a fast-paced
read filled with twist and turns that the reader doesn’t see coming. The
characters, not only the main ones, but the secondary ones help to make this
story something special. I can’t wait to see what Gabbie creates next for us to
read.
